What exactly is an Intranet Web App?

An Intranet Web Application (or Intranet Web App), is a Web Application that typically resides on a server on company premises. Intranet Web Apps allow for complete cross-platform flexibility, and are built using incredibly fast and stable software.

Unlike Internet Web Applications, Intranet Web Applications are not accessible to the public, only to those within your organization who you wish to have access to the database. Using user authentication, users can even be restricted to areas of the database that pertain to specifically to their department. This practice contributes both to security and ease-of-use.
